Dutch cleantech startup Asperitas has teamed up with French green computing provider Qarnot to put cloud computing in boilers and heaters around Europe.

Qarnot Computing will act as a value added reseller and operator of the AIC24 Immersed Computing system developed by Asperitas. This is a stand-alone plug and play computing system that uses liquid cooling. Qarnot and Asperitas are planning to deploy a showcase at Qarnot headquarters in Paris.

Qarnot provides cloud computing through a distributed infrastructure where computing power is no longer deployed in concentrated datacentres, but spread throughout the city in the form of computing heaters and boilers, which are ideal for edge environments in residential and commercial buildings.
